so i recently installed the sso hybrid bumper and winch. I am looking for something that will bring the front up and give a better ride quality. I know i need medium coils, but what is a good brand, ive looked at OME 3inch with medium but heard they are pretty stiff. My current set up is TRD Pro shocks with spacer (dont judge was a noob when i first lifted)

My second question i am not try to break the bank is it possible for me to just replace the front and replace the rear later on? I dont plan on adding much more because right now the bumper is kinda of giving me a nightmare lol

I dont think those come with sturdy enough coils for the weight.

Also a genral question for anyone, so with the bumper, i knew it was going to add weight, and kinda needed something because all the plastic that was stock was either too damaged, or completely missing. Now i am in the hole of having the bad handeling, which on my part i did not know was going to happen. I knew the sag would be present, and could be fixed. I know this is not a race car, but it should not make the 4runner a brick to drive much less have the transmission struggle (which in my research did not see anything about this) so i ask what would everyone do in a situation such as this, or is there a way to correct this.

You could look into OME medium duty coils and nitro charger shocks. All in all, a full kit from wheelers will run about $1k. I ran this set up on my previous 4Runner with a ARB bar and warn M8k winch with synthetic and it rose really well.

Its being a little sluggish and hard on the shifts, but that might be because my suspension is really not having a fun time with the weight.

I called Toytec so far and was recommended the Boss kit due to my current set up that OME and 5100s wpuld be a big downgrade, the only thing that would be an upgrade is the icons and kings, but i cant really afford those, what are yalls opinion on the boss kit? I am still going to do more calling and visit some local shops that specialize in lifts

Edit: also was told 700lb springs in the front were recommended for my weight.

If i remove the winch for now, and only have the bumper,(which is 40lbs heavier than stock) will a heavier spring still be needed?

Okay so i have narrowed down my lift choices to two brands:

    1) Toytec boss lift with 700lb front coils.

    2) Dobinson 3” with HD front coils

What are yalls opinions on these two? Also do i need new UCA’s and diff drop kit? I run a 3” lift now with stock uca and no diff drop but it is only a spacer lift so idk if a coil lift need these items? If i do need these the Boss comes out cheaper, if not the Dobinsons are cheaper because you can pick and chose what you need/want instead of buying a full kit.

Ive decided to get it done right this time, so i will get a full kit, so now i need to decide between Dobinson or Toytec.

edit: Although i run a 3in lift now and have no issues with the handeling.
