I installed all by myself. What a easy thing in theory lol. Man that thing was heavy!, I got it on after quite the struggle .

The engineer at Toyota who designed the oem bumper frame bolts and welded nuts is literally a genius. I thought for sure I totally screwed up my 4runner frame but I just kept torquing along and those bolts never failed me they bent that steel bumper right on to the frame all sung. Those are some tough bolts. Gotta love Toyota. 20231231_215337_HDR.jpg

    Oooh look, another mod.....
It's because we always need to fill our fucking trucks with gas, due to the shitty MPG's we get. But hey, you can't beat the Smiles Per Mile we average!

I put it on jack stands with a board in between. Then I duct taped it so it wouldn't slide off the board and duct taped the board to the top of the jack stands. Then I used a bottle jack on bricks to jack the damn thing up and get the bolts going in. Sounds easy in writing but...lol it's heavy and scary. Thank goodness my winch is 9.5k and not a 12.5k pound puller.

Get a wooden mover's dolly, drill a hole in the middle, and bolt it to a hydraulic jack in lieu of the swivel plate. You can screw additional sections of 2x4s on the dolly to hold the bumper at a specific inclination. This gives you fine position and height adjustment on installation/removal.

Yeah I could prolly do another one right now pretty easily. It's that first time when the idea in your head doesn't match what is actually going to happen lol.
