    Greetings and happy new year

New member here hoping for a little help.

My ignition cylinder is sticking and sometimes it's getting hard to turn the key.
First I found out that I had to back the key out a smidgen in order to turn it from inserting the key.
Next day on 3 occasions it was very hard to turn off (CCW) past the first two positions.

Not wanting to get stranded somewhere I ordered a new cylinder and keys, and I attempted to remove the old cylinder, but no joy.

I insert the key, turn it to ACC, press the spring loaded pin on the bottom, but it only moves out about 1/8" and no further.
I applied as much force and jiggled the key and cylinder while doing it, but it stays put.

It definitely moves out a bit when the pin is pressed, and pin can only be pressed when key is in ACC position.

Anyone here have an idea on how to remove the stubborn cylinder?

    Thank you!
