    Hello,

I am a new 4Runner owner, 2019 Limited, and new to this forum.

I plan to do a lot of off road camping. I purchased a RTT weights about 195. I have a stock model 4runner. I was hoping to find out if I need to buy anything more? Will the stock racks be adequate? Do I need to add cross bars?

I'm not planning to be taking my car in hard core off road trails, just typical mountain roads.

I'm super excited about our new purchase and want to be ready to camp as soon as I can so please tell me what you know from your knowledge and experience.

    Welcome...nice choice...I also have a ‘19 limited/nightshade...love it
Which RTT and how does it mount?
I have the iKamper/skycamp that I mounted to a front runner slimline rack...it’s large enough and weighs about 165 so I wasn’t comfortable putting it on the stock setup...
My Rtt takes up all of the rack...couldn’t imagine it with less than half the area supported...very stable and relatively quick to take off/ put on with an electric hoist in the shop...
Read up on static and dynamic load ratings and decide which you feel safer with...09254F43-1EAA-4C7E-9EE4-8A63FC9EE445.jpg

    Oooh look, another mod.....

https://offroadtents.com/collection...It has a static weight, might need on the road.

    From Toyota:

Weight Capacity: The rack itself is rated to hold up to 660 lbs (static). For the vehicle load rating you will have to contact the vehicle manufacture.
