    Hi
    I just bought a 1987 4 Runner with the 22re -auto
    305 km so 183k miles.
I always wanted one but was to cheap to fork out the money for any of the decent ones I saw.
I saw this one 5 minutes after it hit Facebook market place. I got there first and gladly paid the advertised price $4000 Canadian.
Looking forward to learning more about it from this forum.

Welcome to the forum. That 22re 4 cyl is a very reliable motor. Drove a delivery pickup back in the late 80’s early 90’s that was beaten to death and wouldn’t die. Ok it eventually did but was easily rebuilt and back in service in a week. Parts used to be readily available for this motor and I’m sure they still are. It was a popular choice back in the day. Good luck and get us some photos.

Yes I think I'm already hooked.
I love the tractor sound of the 22re.
And rides and drives so good for a 36 year old vehicle.
