I totally expected to see a Costco parking lot with a mushy lawn and a sadly stuck 4Runner.
but I see what you did there. Awesome!! hope you had fun and the recovery went without a hitch.

 

I don’t get the reference to Costco, but nice on gettin’er dirty!

I believe OP is making a tongue-in-cheek reference to the idea that many people believe that 4Runners are only used for "trips to Costco". I've seen references like, "got lost on the way to Costco" that include an image of posing on the rock on Imogene Pass.

 

Mud sucks. Did you try airing down?

 

Costco can't water down the lot up here=it would just turn to ice!! Currently 34F.

 

I thought I was going to get stuck. The lady in a jeep in front of me got stuck by accident so of course after she got pulled out I decided to give it a go. I went in the middle of the mud hole with a little more momentum and well sunk in lol. You can see I already had my D-ring and soft shackle ready to go awaiting my turn for a tug. It had been raining all day at that point. Was a fun time though. The group made me wear the "vest of shame" as I was hooking up. [/ATTACH]

We've all been there. The very same day that I had my winch installed, I went alone to a fishing spot and tried to get up grassy hill in the rain. Spinning in the grass and the mud. No trees to hook to and had to call my dad to bring his F-150 to act as my anchor point. OH THE Shame.

At least you didn't suffer any body damage, just a bruised ego.

 

Yeah I was high centered on the axles and skid plates. All 4 wheels just spinning no mud kicking up or anything.
