The speedometer doesn't work on my toyota fourrunner 1990, And as a result the odometer doesn't work either It just stopped working when I had to replace my head gaskets, and I can't figure out why. Nothing I did should have affected the speedo cable I believe.

When mine died, it turned out to be the speedo/odometer cluster itself. There is also a sensor that could have killed it. It is throwing any codes?

Don't know about codes Haven't had a chance to put it on A obd, I'll look at it when I get home, To make sure if the check engine lights on or not. In th Overdrive light flashes on and off unless I hit the button then it stays on. Thank you

Is there is no engine light on, No codes when I plug in the obd. But I took the end of the speedo cable off from the t-case, and tried to spin it by hand, and it will not turn. I don't know a whole lot about him. But it seemed to me like I should be able to turn that by hand and I wasn't able to?

Ok, you have the cable. Mine is electronic. I would take off both ends to see if the cable is frozen.
