So I have a interesting predicament. I bought a 4runner abought 2 months ago and it was a salvaged them rebuilt 2006 4runner 4wd SRS with only 97k miles.
Some things are still missing like a small motor for the left and right up down mirrors as well as the windshield wiper jets. I'm assuming the hood was replaced because there weren't any holes for the jets to come through for cleaning the windshield. I don't want to start drilling because there should be different methods of doing it.
Method 1 - When the hood meets with the windshield, there's a plastic trim piece that can attach to the jet and tube follows down to the pump/reservoir.
Method 2 - The other way is to attach the sprayer/jet to the windshield and the tube follows down to the pump/reservoir.
Did anyone have the same issue?
Does anyone think there's a better route?
What kind of pump do I need?
I was looking spec sheet but haven't found it but any help would be appreciated.

Am I missing something? The washer jet is visible in the background of the top picture near the red arrow. It's the top of the jets shown in your bottom pic. The tubing runs under the hood mat insulation to the jets. Check out . It may be helpful.

These are just stock images and are not from my 4runner. Just imagine that my hood doesn't have holes for the jets, and also no insulation mat. That is why I'm thinking of other option for the jets to come through.

I just don't know how a hood could be made for a 4Runner and not have the openings for the washer jets. But stranger things have happened I suppose.

Yea its very interesting. I think that water bottle should work but not a permanent fix.

Salvage title, not a virgin. Drill two holes in the hood and run Dorman universal sprayers: https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-47237-Universal-Washer-Nozzle/dp/B018AIIDKC/

Lay some painters tape down to minimize paint damage.

Use a stepped drill bit so it's less likely to catch on the thin metal.

Touch up bare metal edges with a paint pen.

What's the current situation in the vehicle? You have hoses from the pump going nowhere? Does the rear sprayer work?
