Just ordered the spacers for a 1" leveling job on my new TRD OR Premium. Couple questions if y'all don't mind:

    1) I understand I won't have to decompress the spring to get them in?
    2) The OEM studs will be long enough to get the nuts started, correct?
    3) Will I have any issues with drive line angles?
    4) Any possibility of playing havoc with all the fancy cameras/safety sense/etc?
    5) Will an alignment be needed after?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to being here!

1-4, No. 5, Yes. I had mine installed by a suspension and alignment shop. No issues since. Enjoy!

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Make sure you use the Cornfed supplied nuts on the top studs. They are threaded so they get full grip on the studs. My son is a Cornfed dealer and can answer all questions you have. He also does installations in the Charlotte NC area. PM him here 2016 4Runner SR5 or call/text him 631-202-8245.

Awesome info! Thanks folks! One more: would this require re-aiming the headlights? I hate the thought of blinding others.

The difference in headlight angle with the 1” inch lift is negligible. I didn’t re-aim mine and don’t notice any more requests from incoming cars to dim.

Just wanted to ditto the need for alignment after the install. The shop who did mine (Offroad Addiction in OKC) aligns when the job is completed and then has you come back after 500 miles for a second alignment check (and adjustment if needed) and to make sure everything (strut etc.) is still tight.

I plan to DIY this. Have jack stands, a good floor jack, most every socket known to man, a good torque wrench, and a good space to work in. I’m all about saving cash when I’m able. Seems like it’s within my capabilities.

I did have to lower my headlights some and still get flashed every once in a while...

It's an easy enough install. Might want to add some pry bars to your list.

Yes to having to re aim your headlights.
Just follow the headlight aiming instructions and you should be fine,,,,,,

Its only negligible at 25 feet.
It continues to increase at more distance.

So the oem studs (question 2) are not long enough?

Does the company you got your spacers from send instructions?

Dunno. I didn't get that far into the weeds in the installation.

The factory studs are long enough for the 1" (0.5") spacer, the nuts supplied with the kit are a little more shallow but have the same amount of threads as OEM.

I knew that. I just didn't want wrong information being posted, and was curious why that was said.

Just a quick update. Got it done yesterday afternoon. Dealing with the darned sway bar was the most tedious part. Ended up having to drop the skid and removing the brackets to get enough room to pull the strut down. All said it wasn’t too bad of an install and I love the results. Have an alignment appointment set for Friday. Thanks everyone!

    Hi @Cajunchuck

I see you're a newer member like me, both with a newer TRD ORP as well.
I'm looking at the same Cornfed 1" front leveling kit. I'm probably double tapping with asking the same question(s)... but all went well with only using their 1" front kit? Nothing more was needed since it's so short? All factory bolts were good (with their supplied nuts)? TSS safety sensors 'n such work fine? I have a local guy with a brand new alignment machine that I'd use after to see if all is well.

I'm just a huge OCD planner and like to confirm in advance. I come from the solid axle Jeep life and all this fancy safety sensors / IFS is newer to me haha.

All went just fine. Everything is exactly as I had anticipated. Alignment after went well. No issues with any sensors. The hardest part of the install was the sway bar. Couldn't do it without removing the mounting brackets. I'm very pleased. It's a very subtle but noticeable improvement in the appearance. I did indeed have to aim my headlights down after. Marked where they stood on the garage door before and brought them down to where thy were after.

    Thanks! Good to hear.
I saw the videos on the sway bar, I understand. I've adjusted the headlights on my Jeep before, so this makes sense. Especially in the LED light world.
