Hello! I'm looking to replace the Duellers on my new '23 4Runner with Duratracs and I see Goodyear has a new RT version. Does anyone have these tires? I'm looking at the Toyota dealer's tire site as they have a buy 3 get one for a dollar sale and they show the Duratracs but I don't think they are the RT version.

Just judging from the pictures the rt looks less aggressive. I just had the goodyear terriroty mt installed and I really like them.

My driving is primarily on road, but I want the capability of going off road for most terrain and to be able to drive on the ice and snow since we live in a state that sees a little snow every year.

Are RTs 3 peak mountain snow flake rated? I know Duratracs and UltraTerrain are 3pmsf rated that satisfy that need.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

According to their website, all the DuraTrac's are "All Season". I don't drive in the snow, but if I did, I would want a tire rated specifically for snow. Not a general all around tire.

"All Season" generally mean 3 season. In non A/T tires "All Weather" means 4 season tire. Per the web site RTs may not be rated for snow / meet the industry standard for colder weather. siping on the RTs may help a little bit VS look at Duratrac A/Ts page where it says "severe snow certified" meaning it should have 3PMS symbol on the side wall.

According to Goodyear the RTs are triple peak rated: https://corporate.goodyear.com/us/e...oad-conditions-for-all-season-adventures.html
"Outfitted for light trucks and SUVs, the Wrangler DuraTrac RT is built with the strength of DuPont™ Kevlar® for protection against tread damage and a three-ply sidewall with Durawall® compound to help resist punctures, abrasions and cuts in rough, off-road conditions. With a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation, the tire features better traction and control in winter weather conditions with a proven tread pattern that has more biting edges for enhanced grip."

I'm not sure the rt is 3 peak rated. Definitely double check with whoever your ordering the tires from.

All I can say is that I had Duratracs on my 2010 Tacoma and I managed 3rd gear wheelspin on wet pavement before the supercharger and they made a lot of noise in their life even with rotating. They were great offroad though.

Has anyone tried these tires yet ? I’m debating on getting some I can get them with 45% discount and thought it would be a good tire, I currently have cooper AT/w’s which are going on 5years old now .. I’ve noticed traction in the wet is kinda falling off a bit, they are showing some cracks in between the tread blocks I’ve noticed.. any info on the new RT DURATRAC would be helpful..

GD duratracs real world use in my neck of the woods above average traction in ice and snow. Specifically 25% grades or less snow covered or iced dirt mountain roads. Road conditions are never something that stops me. I have these on my 1/2 ton Silverado, I don’t have these on the wife’s runner but in my top 3. For street use good but with wear on road tire will sing to you as they get older. No experience with the other tire.
