Wondering if there are any bolt on bed step like options for the 4Runner? Was thinking something similar to the OEM Tacoma one that folds up when not in use:

Want easy access to the roof from the back without stepping on the bumper cover. Feel a foldaway step like this would be great.

I know someone who took one I had from the 2018 Tacoma and mounted it on their 2019 4Runner, it works idk just how he mounted it though.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Prefer the ease and convenience of the foldaway step option if at all possible. Runner up would probably be the hitch step.

Cool! Good to know someone pulled it off. Maybe just drilled holes on the step bracket to match what’s on the 4Runner frame?

Should probably just get my hands on one and see how it lines up underneath.

I have a variation of this, an Amazon purchase. What’s great is after having this on my truck for a couple of weeks, I had somebody hit me in a parking lot and this took the brunt of it.
