I have a 2016 Trail. When in 2wd, the rear wheels bind when turning sharper corners. It is just like they normally bind when in 4Hi. The 2wd/4Hi/4Lo lever is in 2wd. The 4Hi, 4Lo and Diff lock lights are all off. Any ideas?

I'd prop it up on jack stands and see if you can spin the tires independently by hand.

Have you tried putting the 4R in 4Hi, 4Lo, locking the rear axle, then putting it all back to 2wd to see if that changes anything?

Potentially the it stayed locked after the last use. I recall @Thatbassguy had something similar happened where it didnt want to unlock for a while. Not sure if he had any instrument cluster lights indicating it was still on.

For the heck of it, I would find a low traction surface such as dirt, gravel, grass, etc, and give it a little gas in reverse to try to get the tires to spin.

Hopefully that gets it to disengage.

Earlier this year mine didn't really want to come out of 4hi, and doing that did the trick.

Like Helen said above me, on older four-wheel drives you had to go into reverse to get it to disengage. I used to have to do that with my 73 Chevy pickup.
