I hate to say it but...I’m really, really not looking forward to the move back to the Bay Area.

It’s only temporary is how I get past the misery that befalls me.

Satin vinyl wrapped my middle grille piece and silver valance today. As well as installed some grille lights. I sprayed them with tint spray to give them a stealth look when not on.

Nice, was thinking about something similar for my Shield .45 but on the left side of the console next to my right leg.

I had thought about putting it there but wasn’t sold on it. I have some kydex so I decided to make a taco holster for it then mount it inside the door. It fits both the VP9 and VP9SK (my EDC) so I can take it from my IWB and stow it there. I can easily reach it and it’s out of site and out of mind. Plus since it’s there no one looking into the 4Runner should see the mount and decide to rummage through the 4Runner looking for a gun under the seat, console or glove box.

I’m weird. I write and eat left handed but throw and shoot right handed. Usually when I go to the range I shoot equal amounts of ammo from my left hand as I do my right hand.

How are those LED's in the high beams? I feel like that style would be more for looks than performance. How does the DTRL work?

These are the lights I used. They are excellent. I used some tint spray to black them out when they are offf.

Just get some wire I used 20 gauge and wire it through the cab there’s a black little plug you can pull out and stick the wire through into the cab and close it back up. Hook the wire to a fuse tap and tap into the outlet amp slot which is the one that’s bottom left closest to you.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001QRSBW0?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

Lights are excellent I had them on my Tacoma previously and have not had a single issue with them. Let me know if you need anymore help with how to wire it, but it’s pretty easy.

Looks Great! … Question: What made you decide to get Warn over SSO & Relentless Fabrication for bumper? … I’ve been trying to decide myself that’s why I’m asking …

I originally liked the SSO and Relentless Fabrication. All are great bumpers however I had a pretty great deal on the WARN and the easy front access to the hidden winch but basically the price =)

Well, I have to agree with you on the price for the Warn compared to the others out there … there prices are around or too close to what you pay for a full bumper once you add extras including paint. Anyway, thanks for sharing with us and it looks great!

That's true. Though I like the aforementioned bumpers but I don't want to pay $800-$1500 just for bumpers. Paying below $600 is a steal and I'm so happy for the turn out. It looks really good and it's so nice and neat looking. I get lots of head turning for it. Good luck on yours.

I was a bit "WTF" that a 2018, didnt already have nothing but LED. So,... got the full kit, and its priority on my weekend shift at work. Watched some vids to get a idea of what i was in for, and they used a plastic tool, for all removal of the lens. Though "ahhh hell, guess ill go nab one at the autozone/Orileys" , but, to my pleasant surprise, they tossed one in. Thats cool. Ill see how busy it is today on site, but, ill probably knock it out tomorrow. (less of the shiny shoes walking around)

Indeed, even the el-cheapo set for $6-7 I got from Amazon...came in handy when I removed the roof rack.

And, i didnt know any better, about the kits :( But, it was simple, and easy just clicking on the color, and done.

I may hit you up, if thats ok, about the HID low beams, and such , again, if you dont mind. And agree, how a 2018, isnt already running full LED/HID is beyond me....

    20180504_113810.jpg

That took a wopping 7 minutes for em all. (the doors, main dope light, and licence plate is done also).... :) and yes, i have a hard on, for blue.

Totally cosmetic. They are VERY similar but I’m not a fan of fake hood scoops or fake bead locks

Vin (SCS) is a solid guy and if I were to buy wheels I would go to him first and foremost. Icon...I have my personal reasons why I wouldn’t spend a single penny on anything of theirs.
