    Hi guys!

So few days ago I got 4Runner TRD PRO 2023 and I love it!
There is only 1 thing that drives me nuts... drone. I hate how loud it is.

I read the best option is to get OEM exhaust or swap my TRD PRO exhaust with OEM.
Can someone please send me the link where I can buy exhaust that will be the quietest exhaust possible lol. Yeah I know everyone loves as loud as possible but not me.
I would appreciate your help. Thanks

I’m sure some will swap you. The tailpipe will need to be swapped.

If you post a few more times, you could create a Want To Trade thread in the 5th gen marketplace forum. Someone in your area would probably take you up on that.

i took mine to a muffler shop - they cut that terrible muffler out and welded in a regular muffler, a couple hundred bucks and kept the black side exit tailpipe

I have said this before you either like the Pro exhaust or not. Lol. Me personally I don’t think it’s bad at all. The cost of a new pro exhaust I don’t think I would do an even up swap.

I would just have a muffler shop replace the muffler itself. That way you retain the nice side exit. The stock exhaust sticks straight out the back and many members (Myself included) have noticed exhaust fumes, especially with the rear window down. I had a shop do a side exit with a dual tip which solved this issue and looks better IMO.

Or find an OEM locally, switch it out then sell your TRD exhaust and make a few hundred $ back.

@karolina your location (state or city) would be helpful if you are looking to swap. I know a lot of people would swap and give you a bit of money on top. Myself included if you are in AZ.

I assume you kept the side exhaust rear though ... the only part I'm actually looking for hahaha

The angle makes it appear a lot lower than it actually is, however I'm sure I will end up regretting this decision lol.

Nothing to do with the angle - I literally scraped the underside of my bumper directly through where that’s routed.

Looks fine now since I had a local body shop smooth it out and spray some paint, but I would have literally crumped the pipes. Heck, my stock tail pipe needed to get opened a bit with the help of my floor jack’s handle.

I have a trd pro exhaust and don't think it drones. Atleast not loud enough to be bothersome.

But I also bought it from a guy who took it off because he hated the drone.

I see a lot of these exhaust drone threads and don't feel like my Pro has a bad drone. Maybe if I kept it at 3500 RPM all of the time. I'm almost wondering if the rear sliding cargo tray is deadening the sound a little.

I bough new and swapped it onto my 29 TRDP. It was definitely drone city and dumped it after 3 weeks.

I recently posted I put my droning 2023 TRD system on a guys 2019 and could barley hear it, I wouldn't have changed it if mine sounded like that. It was a obvious difference that I thought could only be thicker glass and insulation on his, who knows.

The OP mentioned being in San Antonio in another thread. She appears to have gone AWOL.
