Brand new member looking for advice. Just got my wife a new 2017 TRD Off-Road. 3 days later she's ready to mod. i wish she'd been this way when I got my Tundra!

    Her ideas so far:
    - level / maybe a little lift
    - black out all the chrome badges
    - n-fab steps
    - new wheels / maybe 18" or 20" Fuel Kranks
    - bigger BFG KO2s
    - hitch mounted bike rack
    - who knows after that

This'll mostly be a daily driver / mall crawler. Nothing major off-road. The beach, dirt roads or easy trails. Want to maintain comfort / ride as much as possible.

What do you think I could do for $5k?

    Just bought dat bish
Get you some Kings resi shocks, custom colored to her favorite color all around with ToyTec rear springs. 17" wheels will save you money on the wheels and tires, look just as good if not better than 18's or 20's, and they'll ride better than 18' and 20's. You can black out the badges cheap with plasti dip, or get the badge covers i think off f Amazon, or even just remove the badges all together. BFG's are good tires, but for mainly on road, there are better ones out there. Fallen Wildpeak AT, Hankook Dynapro ATM, amongst many others. It's a great looking ride the way it is now, when you add everything to it, it will look bitchin.

Mostly she wants it to look good. She doesn't want to give up ride or handling as it will primarily be her daily driver. Lite off-road - at least I scratch it up a little. She likes a lot about the one pictured below. Doesn't want the roof rack but you get the idea.

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
The door handles and flare look plasti dipped. I did my door handles and like the result really well.

I have an identical 4R and did wheels, tires, and a front leveling kit and I am happy with it.

My SR5 came with those same tires. Actually pretty nice. They did really well in the snow last year, but I still want Ko2s and they are on my short list.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the 3 inch too. I had issues with them awhile back on my Tacoma. They did not fit right. Question do you have a close up pic of them. Are they mounted up tight near the body of the truck? What I did not like about them on my Tacoma it was hard to get your fingers in between them and the body of the truck to clean. Thanks Jeff.

They fit high and tight with the steps down and out a few inches. Much better than the factory steps.
