Anyone using the Body Armor sliders/steps?

These seem to be a killer deal but I'm pretty much a novice at this 4x4 stuff lol. Sub $800 painted and shipped seems like a killer deal. What's the catch? Any opinions welcome.

Nevermind. I looked at the description on Amazon. They describe their construction as aluminum. I knew there was a catch...

 

Hard to tell what they’re made of. i would have expected aluminum to be more expensive. At least the non-Amazon aluminum options are more expensive. Probably a good call to pass, there are better options that are known quantities for not much more.

 

I would tend to agree that aluminum would be more expensive. But most rock sliders at least $1k. Probably cheap chinesium. I can't speak from experience, but I am guessing there's a reason why all the rock sliders I have seen are made of DOM steel typically

Yeah thats common for skids (I wouldn't do it though). I would never trust aluminum for a rock slider though
