My temp gauge works in reverse . It reads on the opposites side or left side. Reading as it was transposed to the left of dial. Any thoughts?

Did you recently play with any wiring? Any new electrical installations prior to this happening? Could the wiring be reversed? Sending unit could be bad or the gauge itself. Just a couple of guesses without being able to put my hands on it.

I would try unplugging the temp sending unit and then see what the cluster does.

Pop the hood and double check to ensure rodents haven't started gnawing on some of the harness

I didn’t think of the rodent factor. I’m sure they are responsible for lots of swear words leading up to actually finding electrical problems. There wasn’t much history in the post such as it worked yesterday but not today etc. Or after installing some electrical device and it didn’t work after that. I recently went to hook up my boat trailer and pulled the 4 pin flat to plug into my car and it was loose in my hand. Chipmunks chewed right through. Now I have to rewire it again in the spring. I just replaced the wires a few months ago.
