    Hi folks,
New to this forum ..... and it's AWESOME !!!! This is my 3rd 4 runner , I've had a 3rd generation and a 4th generation in the past and neither of them has let me down ! I just purchased a 2020 SR5 with 14000 miles on it ( a lease that just sat in a garage). Anyway, I've never upgraded any of them with off road tires and wheels and a topside camper ... not looking to do serious overlanding but I would like to put new wheels and tires on (maybe without having to add lift , if thats possible) ... it's classic silver and I would like blacked out wheels .... I've been reading through this particular forum and there is so much info its incredible ... and some beautiful trucks ! Any suggestions would be great .
    Thanks,
    Curt

First of all pics. Are almost mandatory, because, well to be honest we start whining and shit if we don’t get them. Anywho, it just depends on how far down the rabbit hole you are willing to go. This is mine with 285/75/17’s 33.9” but it takes some cutting, and stuff to get there. I think you should go stock until you make a good judgement of what you really need.

Hi Curt. Mine has 275s on 18 inch wheels. I'm an old timer and I don't do any serious four wheeling, but I do play around and have been impressed with my truck's performance. I have taken my truck to Hollister Hills here in California and gained some experience and confidence. This was stock, after a small lift / level.

I went with a stock-sized set of Defender LTX M/S tires. I got to experience their inferiority in mud to an MT but for what I plan to throw at it (pavement and service roads) they'll do.

The other I was considering was the BFG Trail-Terrain since that straddles a street tire and an AT - maybe get some of the look without going full AT?

Sharing since you have silver. I decided to do something different on this rig as I got sick of keeping my matte black wheels clean on previous vehicles. This is stock tire size.

Folks ... rookie mistake for not uploading a pic of my recent purchase ... all your rigs are awesome !! That's all I'm talking about , some nice tires to do a little off roading , not rock crawling. I like to fly fish and get off the road a little and camp. These tires only have 17000 miles on them right now so, I'm not in a hurry. Thank you for sharing and will see what I end up with !!!

    Hi Guppy-
Are those METHOD brand wheels? They look great! Also love the OWL showing, gives a cool-retro look IMO.
Also, did you keep the stock-size tires? 265/70/17 ?

    Thanks.

Hey thanks! I moved up to 285/70/17 and the wheels are Method 703's. Switched the 265s and TRD Pro wheels I had been running over to my daughters 2015 Tacoma.
