Do you think it is totaled ?

Go to alignment or frame shop and have it checked before repairs. I saw a cheap 2019 at dealer and checked it out. They were selling with repaired frame damage. It's pretty tough frame. The oblique hit on corner might have tweaked it. Go to grocery store and accidentally run into tree and start over. My plan if transmission went out in mine.

 

They have put 2 bumper covers on my 2013 at 197k. That's $2k without headlight assembly or broken parts. I got $787 last time and I bought white flex tape for the next deer. It just split behind license plate in front and I already been to half ass body shop. I will replace bumper covers constantly if that is only wrecking I do.

 

They will fix it no problems. You hit it in best spot. 5-8mph you probably bounced off it and hopefully 4runner gave a little. Don't worry dude they will hook you up. I know I'm going to wreck so I buy used with scratches and chips so I'm over it to start. Nothing is worse than a new wrecked vehicle but there's another around the corner. It's just a material thing. It will all be destroyed by fire one day. Must not be many injuries in 4runners. My insurance is less than my Corolla with liability. I assumed low injury costs being a tank.

 

So.... are we going to get any update from the OP if it was totaled by insurance or not?? Or just continue the thread on perpetually speculating on what we think?

They totaled it over 24k in damage. Suspension and frame damage.

Sorry to hear. But, maybe it's for the better. Hopefully they give you enough for a proper replacement.
