Odd, this ad is at least 3 years old. After seeing how they censored all mentions of death in American kids shows, this seems par for the course.

I watched the ad, it’s not especially bad. They drive through a dusty field, and down a rocky creek bed. I’ve seen way worse, and they’ve certainly shown worse there.

Not a loss, it’s just an ad. It is petty though. I think the average Brit is smart enough to judge what is and isn’t proper off road etiquette, dont go off trail, don’t spin tires needlessly, don’t do donuts on soft ground.

They've got a point. "Tread lightly," and then commercials showing the opposite.

And when I had issues with my 4Runner, the local dealership refused to fix the problem, saying I was using my 4runner in a manner for which it was not intended. I was getting it too dusty. I pulled one of their sales catalogs, showing driving in dust and creeks, and they just frowned.

 

There are countries where going off-road on public land is illegal. Crazy right? What else are they going to make illegal, gun ownership? Oh wait...
