This pretty much goes for any generation 4R, but since I spend 99% of my time on the 5th Gen, I just wanted to ask again that newer (and some older) members update their profiles with your year and model 4R, and knowing where you are would also be extremely beneficial. Not only to you, but for those trying to respond to your request for 'help with my issue'.

I've lost count of the times where I open a new thread to read "my 4R is doing XXXXXX, I can't figure out why, and would greatly appreciate any input or help with solving XXXXXX. No year given, no trim level stated, and nothing about where this person is...followed by a string of responses asking those questions, instead of helping with the issue.

That sure would help, GL. Good thread.

Perhaps to add - if you're tracking down a problem, tell us what you've done already so we can give you good advice. Too many of these:

    "How do I do/fix X?"

    "Have you done this?"

    "Yes"

"Have you done this other thing?"

    "Yes" and so on.

(And if you've done nothing yet to fix it or get an answer on your own, give it a shot. It's how you learn.)

Good input. Also, if any modifications were done that may have led to X, it would be nice to know that up front.
