Thanks for posting. Looks nice but to be honest not quite what I was expecting.

Agreed way less “bold” than it initially seemed. I think blacked out accents would help a lot. I like the blue undertones in it

"Underground" is a new color for 2024.

That picture makes it look like that denim color another manufacturer had a few years ago.

I saw the new underground color the other day on a new Prius and did a doubletake. I'm not sure if I like it or not.

I guess it would depend on the lighting. I saw the Prius outside in sunlight and it is definitely gray.

Jeep had a color called "Rhino" on the JK's, this looks very similar to that.

I don't hate it, just looks very boring on the SR5.

The Prius color is guardian grey so most likely different.

LOL! Shows you that I don't pay much attention to the Prius. If you ever see me riding in one, I'm the guy with the :anonymous:

Just went to Toyota.com website and 2024 4Runner is highlighted on home page, and details at https://www.toyota.com/4runner/

EDIT: And realized I had started a 2024 build (just for fun) that was saved, so not new. But a pic with the color Underground looks much different (darker) than that above, Underground looks like this on the build site:

Cheap is the description I was thinking of too. Maybe yes the black accents would help. Maybe this just looks cooler on the Tacoma and the Camry model with the shiny black accents. This just looks blah in the pics anyway. Maybe daylight would be better? I think they should have kept MGM so far though.

Those pics don’t seem as polarizing as the online pictures of the underground Corolla or Tacoma. Would love to see pictures of the car in the sun. I’ve always loved the “creamy” looking colors more than the shinier metallic ones

That is such an underwhelming color. At least in the pictures above.
It looks like an old vehicle has just had a paint restoration job, rather than a brand new factory color. And this is a dumb name for a color.

That’s really odd. The Underground color I have seen in person didn’t have any signs of blue undertones at all. Very strange.

I own a 4th Gen but I really can’t tell one 5th Gen trim or model year from another.

    Yeah fluorescent lighting changes everything.

I was thinking that color looks similar to some durangoes I have seen I gray.

Maybe we are just conditioned to the normal 5th Gen colors aside from the Pro specials. So see a SR5 in a different color is odd.

It’s fine that it’s a new color. I’m just disappointed that it came at the expense of one of the best colors, MGM. Crazy.

Which dealer was this listed at? Would like to look at some more pictures.

This looks nothing like underground Corolla’s I have seen. I liked those, but these pictures of the 4Runner make it look really bad!
I actually have a deposit down on an Underground Pro that is at port right now. These pictures almost make me regret that! Might have to cancel and find a black one.

I’m waiting to see a TRD Pro in full. Still think it will look really good. A new Terra Pro is on YouTube. Shouldn’t be long before an Underground one is.

I’m in the same boat. Have a 2024 Underground TRD Pro at dock right now. I’ve seen a few Underground corollas and Camrys. They look very different depending on the lighting and the black accents really brings out the “creamy” grey IMO.

My thoughts exactly. Mine arrived in Portland on the 6th. Sounds like we have quite a few with one in port now. Lol. That’s at least 3 or 4 now.

Going to try and reserve judgement until I see more pics of this, as I also have a deposit on a TRD ORP in Underground, but this looks pretty bad on an SR5 with the SR5 wheels. I'm going to chalk some of it up to the fact that it's in a small white room with extremely bright lighting. I need to see this thing outside on a cloudy day.

I think that black wheels are going to make a world of difference on this. If you look at Underground on a lower-trim Corolla with the silver wheels (or they might even be hubcaps), it doesn't pop at all, but it really stands out (to me) with black accents.
