Looks good, I’d be curious as to why they are selling it. They added a ton of weight with mods. If you’re a camper, you’re all set.

I'm the seller. The family situation changed (more babies) and by baby (4runner) became impractical. Absolutely fantastic car and a camping/overlanding all-star. Very, very sad to see it go.

Pretty sure you can rig up a roof mount for a rear-facing child seat.

Here’s an idea: get a Nissan Armada and outfit it for offroad adventures.

Everywhere else in the world, it’s known as the Nissan Patrol and is the competitor to the Land Cruiser.

Interesting. Your switching to a Rivian R1S just to get a third row?

You could do the same thing with a 4Runner SR-5 with a third row and have almost the same reliable truck you have now.

For that kind of money I'd be in a new Sequoia, but I don't have that kind of money.

It's a completely different driving experience. I love the 4Runner and, space permitting, would keep it in a heartbeat. But the R1S is just so good at everything (especially the quad motor version). Highly encourage anyone who is even a bit curious to schedule a test drive at the nearest Rivian center.

I get that, we raised two boys with a Honda Civic as our family hauler. Finally got a used Sequoia and what a night and day difference on room. Sequoia’s depreciate a lot for a Toyota. Found one a year old for about half the price of a new one.

Sorry you have to get rid of your 5th gen. You did a great job of modding it. :(

So we have a Chevy Bolt, so I get where you’re coming from.

I like car EVs, but just can’t get behind the truck ones personally. I do like the VW bus thing though, and Volvo’s upcoming minivan looks sweet.
