Got new tires installed yesterday. I decided to go with Toyos AT2s in 255/80/17. I’ve always wanted pizza cutters and finally got them. Very pleased with the look and fit pre-lift.

Stopped in Hammertown on our way home from LA today.

Poor Runner also ended up with a couple scratches.

Week and a half old, 1600+ miles later.... I still love this vehicle.

Any issues with the 255s and no lift? They def seem to fill the wheel wells. Glad to see that you put a build page on the 4runner forum since the TacomaWorld one got a little packed with the BS to really follow along haha

No issues, I did remove mudflaps though. I will put them back on once I shorten them and install lift. Didn’t see much of a change in MPGs with new tires and no road noise. Glad I went with the Toyos.

Went to Colorado for a long weekend, found snow.

    1. Where did you all hide the curbs.

What lift did you go with?

That scenery makes me a little jealous

OME kit with 884 springs up front and 889 springs in the rear. Total Chaos UCAs. It’s sitting ass high so I’ll likely swap to different springs for the fronts once bumper and skids arrive.

Steven at Wheelers hooked me up. Can’t complain. It’ll be just fine until I order a new set up next year at bonus time. Maybe. We shall see.

I’m running a similar suspension as @Daria I went with the 885 front coils and 898 rear coils.

I also went through Wheelers and have nothing but good things to say about them!

For the rears, did you get the 898’s and the 889 was a typo?

Nice. Congrats on the new ride. 4Runner > Tacoma. My 4Runner just turned 6 weeks old and she’s at 3800 miles. Love this thing.

I agree with that statement. Traded in 2017 Tacoma off road for a 2018 4Runner off road. Absolutely happy!

Thanks guys! New to the runner scene so try to look up what’s out there. I did like the Bilstein 6112s on my Tacoma. I had bad luck with OME shocks on my first Tacoma, but didn’t have a complaint about their springs

I ran just 5100s with 885s on my Tacoma. I was indifferent with the ride. It was a truck, I didn’t expect it to ride like a Cadillac. OME shocks have been fine so far. Really considering upgrading with my bonus in the spring though.
