Got a real treat driving home in the dark last night. Car coming towards me, flipped brights off, they pass and brights go back on but instead of brights I got darkness. Zero lights, low beam or hi. Got pulled over and did some head scratching/hammering the lights on off hi/lo. Key off, turned her over and they're back on. Made it home and cycled the lights, hi/lo on off etc and they go out again. She's an 89 1st gen, I did an LED headlight conversion about a year ago and this is the first issue.
    Things I've tried so far
    -all fuses are good
-pulled steering column apart, checked connections, sprayed electric cleaner in connection boxes (this got them to briefly work)
    -ordered a new headlight switch

Anyone experience anything like this or have any insight on what's going on? Obviously my next step will be replacing the switch, I don't really know how to remove the wires of the old one out of the connection box and connect the new ones in their place, definitely not a good electrician. Thanks in advance
