key not working in ignition

    I have two 4Runners and unfortunately tried to start one of them with the wrong key. When I dicovered it, and used the right key, the key did not work. The dealer suggested using the key to lock and unlock the vehicle so it would recognize the correct key, but that did not work. Any other suggestions?

    One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
    Cycle power…disconnect the negative side of the battery for a minute?

    I did that with my son’s car. Same problem, but it self-corrected after a few tries. Curious whether you tried starting the other 4Runner with its correct key?
