    Nice!
I also like the Dark Trail Wheels.
If I ever go that route I’ll add the Black center caps. I’m pretty sure the caps from the limited wheels should fit.

    Here’s an example:

Further dechroming with some alibaba headlights. These plugged right in to the '21 (along with an add-a-fuse for the startup animation that I'm sure wil cause weird issues later); EXCEPT the high and low beams didn't work. Turns out the included adapters for one of the plugs were pinned on the opposite side of the factory harness. I should have taken pics, but I was able to pull the pins and swap them around.

If you look under the hood opening you can see my trade in 4R. I curious as to what they're gonna ask for it?

I think(?) I could hear them on the highway, but I was really listening for more sound. When I rolled the windows down I couldn’t hear anything over the wind. But I was only able to drive about 2 miles on the freeway so haven’t had a long test period. In short, I don’t think they’ll be noticeably noisy but can report back after getting some more miles on them.

It doesn't say it'll work on 2023 & $125. Maybe I'll do it the old way splicing & adding a relay IF possible?? Don't mind spending the $$ if it works.
I just went to their webs site says 2022-2023. gonna order one.
    https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/products/the-brite-box-4runner?variant=43134024941813

So after reading a little about the harness , I asked the vendor "Do I need a separate switch or does it use the OEM turn signal rotary switch?

Waiting to hear back from anytime fog light vendor on whether I will need a separate switch or if it'll work off OEM rotary on turn signal? Gonna order my raptor lights ( I like them some don't).

Speaking of aluminum, look what arrived from Canada:

Happy with the angle, there's still enough step for me to hop out without dragging the seat.

Today I reinstalled the nerf bars. I removed them in the spring because the surface rust was getting unbearable. Finally got around to spraying with rust fix and bed liner, and just got them reinstalled today. We’ll see how long it lasts!

With cold weather around the corner and after struggling last winter to raise the heat from the storage compartment into the sleeping cabin, I moved the heater to the sleeping cabin. Much better and a lot more efficient. While in single bed mode, the heater worked best, heating both upper and lower areas, it was difficult to get the heat into the sleeping compartment while in full bed mode.

    Heater.HEIC.jpg Heater2.jpg

At first, I tried spinning the heater 180 and venting it through ducting but the heater fan could not move the heat fast enough and the heat accumulated in front of the heater causing it to shut down due to overheating. Putting another fan at the distal end of the duct was another addition not interested in doing. Not to mention, that's how I raised the heat previously. While doable it was additional steps.

    IMG_9726.HEIC.jpg

In the top storage, the heater fits perfectly without the heater's box heating up at all. In this location, it took no time to heat up the sleeping cabin. Thus, using less battery.

    IMG_9729.HEIC.jpg

...and since now I travel mostly with India, The Bed Hog, the single bed is no longer a choice. Sacrifices.

Before buying my 4Runner I read several posts and saw vids about the hood scoop causing glare and people getting decals to get rid of the glare. I thought this was silliness

now that I’ve had my 4Runner for 10 sweet months I’ve noticed the glare. While not horrible it is kinda nice to not have it so got a Hood Scoop Anti-Glare decal, Very civilized and helps as I usually have a 40-90 minute commute in mornings driving East with the glare in my face whole way and same on way home. ETSY also seems to have some good selection of those as well. Amazon associate link https://amzn.to/3FIPdoj

I would probably put the hood scoop anti glare decal as one of my first 5 upgrades. Not sure if the non hood scoop hoods give glare.

I had the same thoughts and I'm glad I did it. It's one of those few mods that is 1. relatively inexpensive; 2. functional; and 3. it looks really cool in my opinion!
I got mine from an Etsy seller and happy with it for sure. Mine also came with a TRD decal to put on the scoop and it looks really nice and OEM, too. Only issue I had with install was I have hood PPF and had to trim the "fingers" of my decal so it did not overlap the PPF.

Bought this awesome hoodie and added my first patch from 4Runner Lifestyle. Someone forgot to tell me that after you buy a 4Runner you are going to be buying a lot of other things for this religion. Also, added a back seat cover, it’s kinda marketed for dog owners I guess, but I just wanted a good seat cover that wasn’t so permanent — my back cargo mats are velcroed onto the back of the seats so I found this option to be great, I like that it’s easily removable for vacuuming and things like that. The center zips down so you can use the center cup holders. I still don’t have it completely fastened in tight or correctly yet but I’ll get to that.

Yeah with the covers on, my Velcro seatback mats no longer have anything to stick to. It's no biggie but I could have saved a couple bucks and only bought the cargo mat.

Might not count as "doing something to the 4r" but:

    PXL_20231104_181842313.jpg PXL_20231104_182854917.jpg

I needed a new grill and Front Runner was having a sale, bad combo.

I’m most likely trading my 4Runner in for a 2025 so not getting too crazy on the upgrades and mods but if the 2025 is my 10 year 100k plus car I’ll definitely being personalizing the hell out of it. SR5 or Limited.

Tires and wheels most likely first thing to get upgraded. Then Window UV block/Tint, PPF

How much noise does that setup make? I get annoyed by the minimal noises of a stock rig, can't imagine what something like this sounds like on the open road or trail.

Finally pre-installed the Shrockworks Rock Sliders. Going to see how the wife likes them before pulling then off to clean me texture them. She's very indecisive so before I put the leg work in I told her to do a trial run. Finished in the dark so I will get more pictures.

Today I once again replaced the front diff (Valvoline 75w-90), transfer case (Ravenol 75w, hose included inside bottle!) and Toyota ATF drain and fill fluids. All went well. Last thing until 180K (minus oil) is the prop shaft greasing.
