just purchased a 4 runner and was planning on getting it undercoated with service shield. my question is will the undercoating interfere or harm the KDSS in any way that is on my vehicle? Thanks in advance

I did Fluid Film undercoating about month ago, so far no problems with KDSS.

I Fluid Flim yearly and I have the KDSS system. It wont hurt it at all.

The safest and arguably better products to use are non-hardening, non-paint, anti-corrosion products like wool wax, fluid film, or similar. Basically, they are greases of some sort. In the case of wool wax and fluid film, they are straight natural lanolin, aka hair grease from sheep. No solvents, and removable/cleanable if desired

Other products that are hard coatings or tar coatings may complicate servicing of the vehicle because of how difficult they are to remove (especially if they spray over electrical connectors) and some may also make rust worse if there is adhesion failure of the product, which basically makes the product hold water against the frame.

Service Shield or Surface Shield? Surface Shield is like Fluid Film and is safe for your vehicle.

The hydraulic actuator piston on the KDSS sway bar has a boot over it, so it's protected from undercoating sprays.
