Hey everyone! It is time milage wise to replace the timing belt on my 95 4Runner. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what websites and brands to look for, or stay away from? Thank you all in advance!

    I would stick with OEM.

Get an OEM belt as the majority above are stating.

There are several Toyota, dealers depending on region to get/order from.

In my general area, I order from Sparks Toyota. Some local dealers sometimes have discounts going on from time to time, So best to check around to get the "best" pricing.

    Welcome to the forum.

Gates for the belt. Lots of Chinese crap out there so be thinking about getting what you pay for! ASIAN and Denso are OEM for Toyota on some things. Follow the FSM for setting the belt tension on the self adjusting belt tensioner on the 95 and it might be wise to pull the dowels on the pulley to cam interfaces and let that belt get running true without the cams trying to tell the pully's were they want them. 3VZ-E's are non-interference engines so you can do this without fear of crashing valves into pistons. This is what I do on my 91 as it has the static tensioner. So you have to get it right and hope that it will last 40K which is why Toyota improved things with the later tensioner that will adjust and take up the slack as things become more intimate. Idler pulley between the CAMS and the water pump are all part of the kits you will find out there!
