    Hello all!

I am hoping to find a solution to the following:

Yesterday I installed the Gen2 Hewitt SAIS bypass kit on my 06 4R, and my issue that while I have power to it; my ScanGauge II no longer shows any readings. I'm fairly certain this has to do with plugging the kit into the factory harness.

My question is 'Is there a way/how do I tap into the harness to get my ScanGauge reading again? I have attached pages 3 & 5 of the installation instructions in the hopes that someone has experienced this and resolved it.

Thank you for any assistance offered!

    Brian

Scangauge is nothing more than an OBD2 reader. Have you tried any other OBD2 reader, like an inexpensive bluetooth one or had Autozone try scanning for codes, to see if the OBD2 port is at all functional still? It sounds like the Hewitt device has crippled the system somehow. Have you tried contacting their tech support to see if this is something they have encountered before?

Hi, yes I called them and they didn't even know what a ScanGauge was. I believe it is most likely due to the signal to it being cut off by the installation of the SAIS bypass. I posted this in the hopes that someone has had a similar issue and found a work around. So, if anyone has please let me know.

    Thanks!
