    Parting ways with this awesome rig! Moving to a new home (fixer upper) and need a pick-up truck (Tacoma), therefore, the 4Runner needs a new owner. It's a 2016 Trail Premium in white with 19k miles. I took care of this truck like I was keeping for decades, because that was the plan until this opportunity arose. All scheduled maintenance was done at a Toyota dealership. No accidents, no issues, rides better than stock! The only issues with it is some minor scratches in the tailgate and some cuts to the front bumper (had a rubbing issue when I first lifted, upper control arms fixed it), Below is the list of upgrades (all professionally installed) I'm located in NY:

    *3" Toytec coilovers in the front (Bilstein shocks)
    *2" Toytec coils in the back (Bilstein shocks)
    * SPC upper control arms
    * TRD skid plate
    * TRD cold air intake
    * TRD shift knob
    * N-fab nerf bars (textured)
    * OEM exhaust tip
    * Morimoto HID kit (headlights)
    * LED bulbs (DRL) and fog lights
    * OPT7 LED light bar behind grill
    * Rago Fabrication LED light bar mount
    * HELO HE901 17x9 WHeels
    * 285 70 R17 Trail Grappler tires
    * Cargo are completely proteced

    I'm currently leasing it but was planning on buying it out after the lease. It's a 42 month lease and I've paid 13 -14 months. Payoff is about 39,000. If interested in taking over the lease I can tell you how much payments are. If you want to pay it off we can discuss further as well. I'm open to do a swap with the right Tacoma as well.

    Can't say enough how great this 4runner rides, much better than stock! Never even got to take it off-road yet! Email me for more pics, details, questions, offers, etc.

    Just curious, if this vehicle is returned when the lease is up, will the dealership take it with everything that's been done to it?

    Yes. Or the vehicle can be bought out. Residual is like $22-$23k I believe. Or it can be put back to stock and part out the upgrades.

    If only I live in NYC. Looking for a 2nd 4R actually because my cuz is buying my benz and this is going to be mine. My first color choice but the wifey likes the grey so she has it.

    Hey man where there's a will there's a way :) I'm willing to work with you. This is a unique truck and would like for the new owner to appreciate it. I get a lot of inquiries from guy's that don't know about these builds. They're like, "but Toyota is leasing these for $300 a month now" :facepalm:Yes yes they are BUT you will get a base SR5. If thats what you want go ahead! lol

    Wait, if you were going to keep it for decades, why would you lease?

    Wouldn't that mean you're paying several thousands more in lease payments and then buyout?

    I'm just curious, I've never leased a vehicle and I wasn't sure if I was missing something here.

    Tory - It depends on the residual value the dealer gives you on the lease. In some cases, if the residual is low and the truck is worth more than that at lease end. You're actually winning. Which would be the case with this truck. I'm leasing for 2 more years and the residual is $25k. I'm pretty sure this 4runner will be worth more than $25k 2 years.

    But if your lease is $500-600 for those 42 months, you've paid $45,000 to $50,000 for the truck overall- for a $40K truck.

    You'd have to be paying $350 monthly on your lease to break even with those figures.

    Private resale would be the same for lease or buy, so I'm not sure how you'd come out ahead...

    Hey buddy I didn’t come here for a finance lesson. Everyone understands that if you finance or lease a vehicle you end up paying more than sticker unless you put a big down payment. I didn’t put any money down.

    I'm not trolling. I'm still genuinely curious about how you can come out ahead by losing money. But, this is your sale thread and we're side-tracking. I'll see my way out.

    I have friends who lease and if the car is solid and not a lemon or has no issues they then buy it. Any which way you look at it a car loses money. So my dad leased a suburu for 24 months no money down, 500 at signing and that included first payment. Loved the car had 8k at the end of the lease and bought it. I think it cost him an extra 1k.

    Thank you. It’s perfectly doable especially if the vehicle holds their value well.
