I paid 35,900 for a 21 TRD Offroad premium w/ 50k miles and Toyota warranty to 100k back in January. It was the lowest price anywhere in my area. It sat on the lot for 3 days before i bought it. All the TRD offroads around me used at the time were around 40k

Oh good, I definitely got a great price on my '23 ORP as it was better than that advertised price and the sticker on mine was over $51k.

If new prices are really on a steep upward trend and used prices are on a steep downward trend, that's not a condition that can persist for very long. If used vehicles get cheap enough, either new prices will stall out, or used prices will plateau.

Used are not on a steep downward trim. As new prices climb, used is a better option for most. Add that to the crap quality most new cars are since pandemic, again, used, pre-pandemic cars are just a better option.
