    I just signed up. Last month I purchased a "new to me", 2021 4Runner, with 60K miles, to use exploring the history and backroads of the Rocky Mountain West. Probably not interested in many modifications, just those for reliability, comfort, and convenience. I'm thinking my first mod should be a decent set of shocks.

    Welcome. The 4Runner is very capable in stock form. You'd be surprised where it will take you. A good set of AT tires would probably be the best-starting mod.
