One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
The repair cost of the “A” pillar will be the deciding item. The fender and hood are replaceable panels.

I'm thinking to my self now, if it's a TRD Pro having higher used value would have less chances to be totalled and other trims have better luck getting a new vehicle? Just thinking out loud "what if such a thing happened to me? "

OP- very sad to see that happened to your 4R :( Hope that you will get a new 4runner and not getting it repaired and worry about the structural strength the rest of the life driving.

I would worry about getting a windshield to seal properly could be a problem, just for one thing.

When my Tundra got hit last year State Farm started with KBB but they "adjusted" based on vehicles that were for sale in the area also.

I don't know how they came out with it being $50k but they didn't want to total it. I didn't think it was that bad just mainly body panels and air bags didn't deploy.

If airbags didn't go, they may fix it unless cab is warped. So many on road parts should be cheap

Isn't that good news. They pay for a new car or just give cash value?

Wow! Hopefully you can find a replacement quickly! At least this way you're not going to be concerned about issues down the road, reduced value, etc.

Post pictures when you take delivery of the next one. :)

Don’t be mad, i leaded it because that’s all i could afford at the time, & I’ve been saving up to buy it at the end of the year because in California the interest rate has been going up & down, so i just wanted to make sure i had enough to cover me.

So i have to wait to hear from my insurance on how much Toyota would want to cover the rest of the car, & i will get the rest from the cash value.

So bow does insurance work on a leased vehicle? Does it just pay off the lease balance, and you pocket the difference between the total payout and the lease balance?
