Updated model for 2024 looking pretty fly. Only $170k. I wonder if they give it a better paint job?

    Plug-in-hybrid system with a 3.5-liter V-6
    all-wheel drive

Similar to the powertrain found in the new 2024 Lexus TX550+ which makes 406 horsepower and claims 30 mpg and a 33-mile electric driving range in that three-row SUV. Toyota hasn't yet provided detailed specs on the Century, other than its dimensions and a prodigious 5600-plus-pound curb weight.

This vehicle is made to an equal if not higher standard to any hood that adorns a Star.
A Japanese only model, it's a favorite with everyone from the imperial family to Ceo's .

I have followed this car and it's evolution over the last few decades and it intrigues me what a car with Toyota quality and realibility with Uber luxury would be.

This is a special car, and personally I would pick this over any car that has a mistress, star or wings on a hood.

I like that you are speaking for everybody else outside of Japan.

It's a good thing then that Toyota limits it to Japan.

If this thing costs $170k you would not think the owner would be concerned about fuel costs and wanting it to be a hybrid. Although maybe they are overly environmentally concerned I guess who knows.

I am sure the quality is good but to me it looks like a mini hearse for a funeral. Not for me but that is what make the world go round.

But yes I hope the paint job is better and I wonder if they treated the frame better also vs a 4Runner. Hmm I would assume at that much weight it is a full frame vehicle

Apparently it's built on TNGA-K platform, meaning it has many components in common with the Highlander, RAV4, Kluger, Camry, etc.

People said the same thing about the LFA but Lexus sold all but 1 of the 500 they made.
