    Hey all.
I have a clicking or ticking noise.
I only hear it if I'm in somewhat of a closed situation like driving between buildings or in an alley.
I did a little test and while I was rolling put it into neutral and kept rolling but accelerated a little bit and it had no effect on the cadence/speed of the clicking noise which makes me believe it is something other than the motor.
I am putting the question do you guys as to what it may be before I just send it into a shop and say "hey, there's a noise, find it."
As always, any info is much appreciated.

I can't think of anything that wouldn't be affected by engine or vehicle speed. If you open all of the windows, can you get any idea of the general area it's coming from?

Well, one of my problems is I only hear it in an enclosed area, like I said in alley or something, and in that situation the noise is kind of Omni directional.
I was driving between two buildings just the other day and popped it into neutral and gave it a rev, the Cadence didn't seem to change.
Another problem I suppose is that only my left ear actually is worth a darn, the right is pretty much just for looks.

My guess is that you hear it in enclosed areas because it's echoing off surroundings, so as you noted, it could be coming from anywhere. Is it possible that you're not such areas long enough to detect a vehicle speed or engine RPM dependence?

I had a stone in the tire that did this and you only heard it in alley ways.

This may not be your issue but previously I was also getting this periodically occurring ticking sound. I could only hear it when driving at a relatively low speed with windows down. When the time came for the replacement of the front brake pads and the rotors and I did that, I noticed that the ticking sound had also gone away. Admittedly this may just be a coincidence and the ticking sound could return.

Actually, a friend of mine did say something about the warning tabs on my brakes.
Now in my experience it's more of a rubbing sound than a ticking sound when my warning tabs were going off, but yeah I'm definitely going to look into that!
