Does anyone know which step bars that Toyota has that will fit the 5th gen with KDSS? I like the Trail ones but was told they won't fit on mine due to it having KDSS.

Should all have the same mounting point. My 4runner is equipped with KDSS, and I'm running OEM step bars.

Step bars attach to the body and it shouldn't matter. Sliders attach to the frame, and it does matter there.

If a running board is what you want for a step, Toyota has one that can be found for sale often here on the forum. It looks like this:

Sorry, yes, running board. I call the same thing with both terms, lol.

Which ones are those? I like those as well.

My truck is a 2019 ORP with KDSS. These should still be available from Toyota as @Tank010 mentioned above.IMG_6454.jpg

I don't know what the part numbers are.

Thank you! I like how those look like the rear bumper top so it all matches. My wife and kids could really use the running boards to help get in and out of the 4Runner.

I will look for it but if someone has the part number that would certainly help. Thank you!

These are the Trail running boards for at least the 2019 model year - probably a couple of years before and after. I would take the picture I posted to the dealer and you should be able to get the part numbers.

The picture they have shows the Trail running boards which is confusing me.

Yep, same here. I don't like chrome and already have an emblem overlay kit coming, and for running boards I don't want any chrome. It's part of the reason I didn't get the Limited trim.

You are correct the part number PT938-89200 is for the new style Trail Edition running boards. Not the ones pictured in post #7 by 2Toys.
I believe those are the old style PT938-89100. Someone more knowledgeable may know what year they changed. You may be able to find the old style used.
