A friend gave me the 2 crossbars from his new 4runner. Figured until I can afford a new rack adding 2 more bars will help distribute the load? and allow more load possibly?

Went out to the Maze district of Canyonlands this week. Got to check out some fun rough roads, but did not get the the campsite I really wanted to. Road was too rough for me to risk body damage. I will have to wait until I get it lifted and armored.

Overall it was a great trip. Looking forward to making it back out there with a bit more clearance.

    Today...

I put the drawers and fridge back in.
    C02C3CAB-5172-42E1-A88D-36FA67C53506.jpg

Tore some panels out and worked on some electrical.
    5C11826D-8EED-4DB6-8F7A-632975452ED7.jpg

Got some Rigid D series installed on the rack.

    D010F26D-A02E-4EC0-BC62-C2C6511BE1F1.jpg

Ran all the electrical along the roof line and channels then down along side the windshield behind the molding (pro tip...a roller that you use for screens works really well in getting the wires down in there)

Smittybilt 8ft Side Awning purchased for my '18 T4R ORP. I want to install it on my factory crossbars. Any issues I should be wary of before I do it? Was wondering of any quick release mount options. I failed to find an image or post of a factory roof rack with an awning installed. A better roof basket/cage/etc is overkill since I only go out into the wild once a month for a couple days. Any info is greatly appreciated.

The weather finally was good enough for me to put Mud flaps on my Wife's new 4Runner today. The dealer did a crappy job of putting on the running boards so I took the time to straighten out that mess while I was laying on my back in the driveway.

So about 2000 miles ago I installed an oil catch can. Today I did my normal 5000 mile oil change and decided to take a look and see if it's doing what it claims to do. For anyone that doubts the need for an oil catch can, here's what mine caught through those 2000 miles. Mostly water from normal condensation, some oil. This would have ended up in my intake manifold, all over my valves, and would just build up over the years. Well worth the $30 investment and 45 minutes of my time to install.

Installed Rola basket for the meantime until I decide which rack I’m getting. Rola will go to my subaru.

Buy about 6 feet of 3/8 vacuum hose to go along with it. The hose that comes with the can is a joke and is not vacuum line by any means.

Oh boy. Yuck. Looks like you have a cargo mat at least. Good luck with the clean up. We have a friend who spilled a gallon paint can in her Honda Accord trunk once. I hope it cleans up ok for you.

Just ordered my mid-travel setup from Marie over at Headstrong. I went with ADS w/ adjustors front/rear, TC UCA's, and OME 2889 coils for the rear. Can't wait to get it all set up!

I need to pull the trigger on ADS. Don't think I've ever heard anything bad about them, maybe except for price.

Installed rear black out kit. I have the front logo and SR5 logo blackout kit for sale if anyone wants it.

I had just planned on the rear and left the TRD logo silver for a little contrast.

I can accept payment via PayPal and ship as well. Purchased these from the Toyota dealer.

It’s only the front grill logo, and SR5. 2015-2018 models
