What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Send that aux panel back. Been there done that. The Switch Pro is so much easier.

They work really well. They don't randomly fly open when I turn or brake/accelerate. I can store my work ID badge in there and not have it slide around.

I was undecided about interior panels but snagged a set on sale at Amazon for 300. The shelf is on the lowest of four positions just to try things out.

 

Did my rear shelf since I wasn’t going to pay for it and not get what I wanted out of it.

I'm tall enough (and so is the wife) we don't need the cargo latch and they're too expensive for looks. Did get the headrest hand grabs and I'm installing them today=we have some short lady friends with disabilities.

 

Replaced the bulging silver-with-black-cover wheel trim (on the right) with matte black AJT bits. Small change but much nicer. Also finally ordered the sliders.

 

Ordered some Ark back splash guards and took OEMs off this morn before work. Looks a lot better IMHO.

Added the Victory rear bumper

 

Got a mega sweet deal on some OEM leather covers and swapped the seats on my 4runner. they came out amazing! There are a couple small wrinkles on the photos. but once I parked under the sun, they look perfect!

 

Installed the dash light sensor so now my dash lights adjust for night and day!

 

Finally found the leak in my EVAP system that was throwing the CEL for last 7 months. This ended up being a very expensive repair since I was told to swap pretty much everything in the EVAP system by a previous garage. Another garage said the differential was in the way before the fuel tank can be lowered.
Had to reluctantly send it to the dealership despite all the horror stories. Was expensive but it is what it is. The secret is to find a service advisor that is willing to work with you and understand the problem.

The joy of driving a truck without a single CEL,VSC,ABS,TPMS light is immense.

 

Yeah, I initially tried to keep the mods functional but I've definitely strayed into the realm of looks. At least you're the only ones I share with, I don't IG

I did it & it was not what I expected, kept flashing, really annoying for me.. Ended up breaking the connector in the sensor. Put the plug back in, just manually adjust.

Light sensor, yet another thing I didn't know I didn't have and now I need it.

I have an occasional faint squeaking/rustling from the front that was driving me nuts until I saw posts here about the splash guards.

Yeah not sure but it was not something I kept long at all.

 

Sooo I wade in timidly expecting some sideways action…
It was cheap and free return so got and installed a 9-drive throttle controller.

the dead pedal is real and tried the just press it more method for 40,000 miles now. My annoyance persists

That's where the JESBEN sensor would go. If you haven't replaced it, you probably have the placebo sensor, which doesn't do anything.

 

Looks like a plastic plug to me. I found the sensor a little cheaper on ebay for the 2020+ and am debating this one myself.

I installed Lock N Lube caps on the propeller shaft zerks today. Are there zerks on any of the other lube points?
