I have a 2022 4Runner Limited and I just noted the running boards top plastic are moving. Does anyone know how to move them back into place?

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I don't have these kind of steps, so this is a random guess: I bet there are clips that hold the plastic step piece onto the frame of the step. If you can, look underneath and see if you can see inside the step from the bottom.

Also, is it just happening on one side or both? Is the movement very noticeable? Like, does it slide with ease on its own, or do you need to 'try' to move it?

I check under the steps and there some screws, however I lose one of the to see if the plastic would pop up but nothing. I am unsure if I can pry it out after I lose the bolts.
