About to buy...any comments

Hello 4Runners...I have so much envy for what many of you have done to your SUVs...so fun! Anyway, I'm about to buy a 2018 SR5 4x4. I'm nervous as my last two from Craigslist were money eaters. This is from a dealer. I inspected it and was amazed that the undercarriage was like brand new. Every bolt, the muffler, etc all perfect. One owner, garaged in San Diego in 5 years put on 42,429 miles. Engine and interior all like new. The Dealer did pre-certification so comes with warranty.
Oh, price out the door: taxes, registration, etc. is $38,000.00. I know used vehicles are more now. But this is the most I've ever put out. I think it's a good deal. No leather seats but guess covers would do. Any thoughts? Oh, I go to trail heads for backcountry hiking and camping, not really 4 wheeling. Thanks all!!

 

Welcome. If you did all those inspections, that's peace of mind. And with a warranty also. You can get leather seat covers for less than paying for a premium trim.

What is the California cost to register that truck for a year?

Price seems reasonable. I paid $38,805 for my 2023 but with the destination charge, taxes, LED interior light upgrade, Toyoguard thing it came to about $43,500.

Annual Florida Registration is $59.
