So.... I went out looking for a slightly used 4Runner, and for the used prices, decided to go New. I just bought a '23 TRD ORP w/moonroof, multi-terrain monitor. List price was $49,100. I easily haggled the Dealer down to $46,200.

Which was excellent, because there was a Used 2023 4Runner TRD ORD on the dealer lot with 11,000 miles for $46,500

    It was a no-brainer.

Dont be afraid to price around dealers (even out of area) and bring that price to your Toyota Store. They may be more willing to negotiate than you think, and then you'll have yourself a brand new one for the same price (or less in my case!) than a used one. Btw, Im not in CA or some weird place where car prices are insane to begin with, I am just north of Detroit.

EDIT: Check out Szott Toyota in Waterford - they often have internet sales and mark the 4Runners down to MSRP/or slightly below. Print that out and use it for bargaining.

    You're Welcome :D

Damn, $46.5k for a used 4Runner w/11k miles? I paid $1k more for my Anniversary Edition, with only 9 miles on it.

We have bad dealers like that in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I got lucky I guess, I found a dealer who knocked off $4k off MSRP (they actually called it TSRP - Toyota Suggested Retail Price). I even got a few free accessories (the usb connectivity kit, cargo cover, cargo organizer bag-thing, netting, etc..).

When I realized the deal I was going to get, I jumped at the chance and signed the papers right away.

    I just found this: https://www.toyotaofrockwall.com/in...ition-4wd-4d-sport-utility-jteuu5jr8p6166110/

The dealer has it listed as "used", so you get the reduced warranty. It's almost $3k more than what I paid two weeks ago, and you'll get less!

Thanks , I dont have any pictures on my phone, basically there stock black or dark grey. But for 35k, vs 46k new. I dont want that high of a payment. Il wait a few years and buy a used 6th gen! There are really good videos on toyota bs tsrp vs msrp and how they do there pricing. Since toyota are so popular now dealers are adding items to get the tsrp. Used cars are the worst. Theyll add tpms, shift knob, tint all for tsrp where they never installed it, it came with as a trade in. Watch for there tricks. Always talk them down to msrp!

No other options there both ORP stock other than moon roof package. I think its cheaper because its black. They drop price every week on there vehicles until they sell. Its a largenused car delear family owned for 40 years, got 3 big locations around the valley.
Yes I do have financing in place best rate I could find at my 4 different banks is 7.5 apr. Cant get any better its the lowest available. Dealer rate 9.9%. No payoff penalties just have to wait 4 months so 4 payments, so they can still get there cut. Than I can refi at my credit union at 7.49. That saves me 1500$ off price. I wasnt looking for black but this is best deal I could find. Darker Tint, future lifted with black wheels will look pretty slick.

I agree= not a fan of the moonroof although we have one in the wife's RAV (We never use it because it just produces glare in our eyes)

I’d get the Magnetic Gray, but that’s just me, and yes I have owned a black vehicle before, never again.

I'm about to go pick up a new '23 ORP with the moon roof and KDSS in the Magnetic Grey color this evening. Sticker was just over $51k and the dealer easily came down to $46.6k. Sounds like the OP got a very good deal on the '22!
