Intake? K&N, TRD, and some other have intakes. I live in Vegas. Read a lot about how intake could promote debris in engine.

Muffler? Would prefer a quite muffler nothing loud.

Spark plugs? I have replaced spark plugs at dealership. Maybe upgrade these also?

None of those are going to increase the power in any meaningful way. Look into getting a supercharger if you really want to increase the horsepower.

Push the gas pedal down more, and maybe wait a few more weeks to get used to the power and weight combination. Then push the gas pedal down less, as you realize you're getting 15 mpg and still not going very fast.

Only a supercharger will give you actual power increases, but I don't even know of 4th gen has that option. Also, that in itself is a ripoff in terms of hp/$.

I also have a Tacoma and some people do the cam gears. But outside of that I don’t think there’s much to do for power increases on the Toyota V6’s outside of forced induction.

Thank you! Much appreciated. Just installed the Pedal Commander. Will see how it performs.

Cheapest way would be to sell it and pick up another 4Th gen with a V8, or a GX470.

I have the V6 and it’s a solid, reliable engine that is what it is. People waste a lot of money trying to make it something it isn’t: fast. I’m lucky, though. My old Xterra had 170 HP so it feels like Christmas morning every time I step on the 4R’s gas.

@Gjones336 return the pedal commander and look into the YotaWerx tune. It'll alter your throttle and remap your torque to lower RPM's among other things.
