Hey, everyone, new to the forum but a long time Toyota fan. This is a question about my 1988 Toyota 4runner 22RE

A little recent background. I don't drive the 4runner as much as I like but have taken it out as recently as a few weeks ago and then pulled it out on Monday to let it run for a bit as I cleaned up the garage. I engaged and disengaged the E brake and all dash indicator lights were as they should be.

Here is the issue: When starting it today and taking it out of the garage the Emergency Brake light stayed on even though the brake was off. I thought it might be stuck but it is definitely off. The Charge light is also on. The battery might not be at full strength but even when weak in the past this light has never come on. The Back Door light is off. This is the only light that should be on because the rear window is lowered meaning the Back Door can be opened. Everything else seems to work fine. The headlights, brake lights, turn signals all work and the truck runs fine. When pushing in the E brake you see the light dim a bit indicating it is off but the light it still on. Plus knowing this truck it would nearly stall in certain situations if the E-Brake was stuck on.

I am hoping this isn't a mice issue chewing on some wires but it very well could be even though I have run and driven the truck recently. My 94 pickup was always outside and this truck has been in the garage for nearly 20 years and I've never had a mice issue. Could it be a fuse? Before I start to tear into the dash I wanted to see if anyone had any advice or suggestions for my mixed up indicator issue

    Thanks

    James
