Just got rear ended

    My Toyota dealer has an excellent body shop. That makes it more convenient for you. Hope that works out and will follow your updates.

    Mannn that absolutely sucks. I can't imagine... I have 3.3k miles and I would be super upset at that.

    I've read that some people get a 5/6 inch hitch just for this very reason, saying that if someone rear-ends them the hitch prevents cosmetic damage. Downside is the hitch is connected directly to the frame so if the impact is strong enough you could risk damaging the frame instead of the bumper just absorbing the impact. Not really sure what the consensus is on that.

    I buy.used and don't worry about it. Put a hitch carry on there. That will buy a little space. I think that's a quarter inch 5x5 welded box welded to frame. That's your salvation.
