Anyone know where I can find tube shaped roof side rails similar in style to the ones on this UrbanRunner (see image)? Just purchased 08 SR5 that is naked on top.

To my knowledge, those only came on ‘06-‘09 Sport Editions. Found one on eBay that seems pretty expensive to me. Couldn’t find it on Toyota’s parts site, even using the p/ns in the eBay listing (but I didn’t check every one), which is odd. I’d look long and hard for someone parting out a Sport before I’d what that eBay site is asking. FB Marketplace is a good place to start.

If you find one and it needs to be painted, I did mine years ago with Rustoleum Black Stainless Steel Metallic. Color looks close to original and it’s remarkably durable, such that I used it on my sliders too. Also, the crossbars are directional. I was very surprised to find that they’re shaped like a wing. The thicker edge faces the front. You’ll know if they’re backwards when the “whuff whuff” noise starts around 30 mph and gets louder from there.

Thanks for the info, very helpful! Definitely steep price on that eBay find but will keep a look out for some cheaper options. Makes sense on the 06-09 Sport. I have an 05 Sport for my daughter and it has the flat side rails, not round tubes.
