What is this part for?

Where does this guy go? Took down my skid plate for the first time and it was just chillin' in there. 2021 4Runner TRD Pro.

Definitely a spacer. Usually goes between object and screw.

Yea but for what? All the 4 bolts are even so I'm confused where it goes lol. There's only one spacer.

 

Looks like the spacer for the front TRD skid plate to me

 

That's what it looks like to me as well. It fills the space between the skid plate and the frame cross member for a jack point.

Oh I see there is 4 of them! I only have one. Maybe a Toyota tech lost my other when I had a service appointment? Jeeeeeez.

 

There's only 2 spacers on the front bolts with the factory TRD skid

Good luck I found those spacers very difficult to source up here in Canada.

 

Albeit, I didn't look for or try buying OEM

 

Reached out to the original Toyota dealer that does my service, literally no response from them after hitting about 3 people up who work there. Prob never using them again.

Hit up a different Toyota closer to me and said they have a parts kit for the skid plate for $25. I'll just bite the bullet.

 

Call them back, and say the following...

"Hi, this is Ratmosphere. I'm following up on my previous three calls, and I'd like to get some resolution on this because I really want to be able to give you guys the highest possible rating on the customer service survey, but right now it's not looking like I can do this."

 

Funny enough you say that, got through and they replaced it for free. LET'S GO!

 

Damn I should have tried getting OEM spacers! I'd have to pay tho cuz my 4R is 2016 w/ no factory TRD skid and aftermarket ARB skid kit.
