Really good ramps?

What are your favorite ramps?

 

Race Ramps.

 

those are for small race cars. on sale at Advanceautoparts store are better and bigger ramps. of couse if your T4R is Professional Racing machine, like TRD PRO, those ramps for you

 

Those look similar to the Rhino ramps I have. I might have to check them out in case they're better quality.

No issues with Rhino ramps so far. I read a story where they had cracked, but it sounded like they had been placed on an uneven surface.

My dog is a Boston terrier, so I just pick him up when he can't get up something.

 

Mine is a heavy (thanks mostly to us!) golden retriever...

 

These are the highest quality ramps made. I don't own a pair yet, (friends do) but they are far superior to Rhino ramps which I own.

 

8x8 landscape timbers. Nothing stronger and also can be upcycled.

In Canada, princess auto 13,000lb vehicle ramps are solid and affordable

 

2x12 lumber cut on a bevel and stacked at 12" offsets.

 

That wood's more expensive in British Columbia than my ramps on sale @ $59 lol

Yep. I own a pair of Race Ramps. Not inexpensive, but well worth it. Light, sturdy, and they don't slide on concrete floors like metal or plastic ramps can.

Lol, how high do you need them? One can already crawl under without ramps... Maybe if i was going to drop the transmission... Nope not even, floor jack and stands if i need anything higher than 6".

 

I use them for hosing it out with a sprinkler.

I've got a lot of experience with ramps. But @Lockbox let me ask, what is the primary use and purpose you intend these ramps for? I can probably suggest exactly what you need.

 

About 10yrs ago I needed ramps with a very gentle taper to raise the wife’s 350Z and to avoid hitting the air dam first….and be strong enough to handle my ~4,000# Cummins front weight.
Being a DIY/tightwad guy I had a bunch of 2x6 drop from a shed project. After a lot of Loctite waterproof wood glue and deck screws I had unbreakable ramps.
I made them two piece which allows the tapered section to be removed and out of the way to improve entry/exit for under the vehicle.
And yes they are heavy, but right in the middle of my price range and will outlast me….

 

True words, I hear ya.
Hell I installed my entire skid kit the other year, no ramps or stands or creeper, laying on my back on the garage floor haha.
I slowly invested in all that stuff now.

 

I went with Rhino ramps. At first I was just planning to use jackstands, but ramps are more convenient for many applications. They're not so great for rotating tires, though.
