Hi I am new here, my husband and I have a 2016 4runner with 60k miles. Within the last week there has been this HORRIBLE squeaking sound coming from the passenger side control arm area. We can't pin point where the sound is coming from. My husband took it off yesterday and greased it with no luck it still squeaks. We have adjustable SPC ucas and Icon 2.5 coilovers. I will try attach video and pictures. Also I looked at the stock lower control arm ball joints. Are they supposed to do this? Mahalo in advance.
I am still trying to upload video. I'm having issues with that.

Aloha! If you verify its coming from the UCA's, it could be the ball joints which are known to go bad on SPC's pretty quickly. If you contact SPC directly you can try and get them to warranty the ball joints.

@Nomadik Overland Mahalo! We changed the lower control arm there is skill a weird sound. It sounds like the bar going through them where you adjust the alignment is dry. Once we spray that spot it goes away.

Grease your lower control arms by spraying lube on them. Ive Tacoma and 4 Runner. Everytime it squeaks , lower control arms are the culprit. It took me a long time to figure this out. It works for me with aftermarket suspensions. Good luck

    Grease the bushings?

My Icons killed me with squeaking because of the bushings. Even with new ones it still was terrible.

Do your UCA's have poly bushings? Silicone based synthetic grease would help. Our JBA uca's have poly bushings, and it is recommended to use a grease of the silicone base, 26k+ miles without a squeak, moan, or groan!
