    ^As per the owner's manual, Toyota WS from the dealer.

    In case you didn't know, owner's manuals going back to ~1995 are all available on Toyota's website.

    I've been using Valvoline MaxLife trans fluid in my 03. Haven't had issues with it and it is listed as being compatible with WS fluid on the bottle.

    Safe bet is always to get the OEM specification, WS, as indicated previously. Check the owners manual and if you don't have one, you can download one for free from Toyota.

    I just had a transmission flush done and they used WS fluid.
